This initial post intends to make sure that you all know that there is a new Association of Friends of Piedmont in New York and that we are seeking new members.
We are a group of artists, professionals, scientists and business owners sharing an interest for the Piedmont Region, either because we were born there or because we appreciate the contribution that people from Piedmont have made to the arts, sciences and industry.
Ms. Laura Maioglio (owner of Barbetta Restaurant) is the President of the Association. I serve as the Vice President and Executive Director. The other founding members of our Association are: Professor Vittorio Canuto from Columbia University/NASA, Professor Giorgio Einaudi, Director of ISSNAF, Professor Caterina Bertolotto from the New School, and Caterina Berbotto, a well-known wine expert and sommelier.
Please join us for our first event which will focus on the artwork of our artist friend Professor Caterina Bertolotto. The event will take place on June 12 at 6 pm. Please see details below. We look forward to seeing you there.
